SPAN's Project Management & Tracking System (PMTS) enables collaborative planning among team members, project managers and other stakeholders. The PMTS hosts all project related artifacts (technical and management) and quality records. SPAN uses a secured web-enabled project tracking tool for scheduling & updating tasks and for tracking project progress. Earned value analysis methods are used to assess project progress and make changes in plans.
Project related knowledge artifacts that are archived at the end of a project are made available to designated team members through on-line forums and Internet libraries. Using CMM Level 4 guidelines, SPAN ensures the sharing of these knowledge artifacts in exactness with clarity. The knowledge repository not only reduces the cost and time spent in future engagements, it significantly mitigates risks involved in the execution of the project.
SPAN has a well-defined Change Management Procedure to handle changes at any stage of the life-cycle. Changes are logged in SPAN's secured web-based Change Request Tracker for their initiation and go through critical evaluation before authorization and implementation.
SPAN employs a Risk Analysis Group that provides a proactive risk management strategy, before any technical work commences. The strategy will address all general and project specific risks to the client. This enables SPAN to respond to any probable risk in a controlled and effective manner, should the risk materialize.
SPAN uses tools to maintain baselines and perform version management & control. All client collaborative development and review is carried out over SPAN's secure VPN access.
Independent reviews and testing at every stage in the project life-cycle ensures quality. Adherence to project defined standards and best practices in tools, techniques and methodologies minimize rework and delays in the later stages of development.
