Prakash Grama, Co-founder & CEO of SPAN Systems (www.spansystems.com), moderated a panel discussion at a conference held by "The Southern California chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs", as part of TieCon 2010. Fifty prominent speakers and ten panels discussed how the world economy is responding to evolving business opportunities and addressing their social eco systems, as part of this year's topic, "Prospering in the New Decade".

Prakash's panel discussion, "Creating Wealth in the Great Recession" addressed how businesses have become truly global and so have the opportunities. The governments around the world, while having diverse business and political philosophies, are huge opportunities for businesses. These complex factors make the traditional ways to create wealth ineffective. Mr.Grama said, "Today, companies are witnessing game changing scenarios with the global economy shifting and bringing with it extensive social and cultural changes of doing business".

The panel had a true global representation with the EVP of EDB (SPAN is a EDB group company) which is the largest Nordic IT services company from Oslo, Head of a business unit of a Global 10 IT services company, CEO/Entrepreneur of a successful HR Outsourcing firm and a CEO Coach participating.

Prakash Grama has provided direction and vision to the growth of SPAN since its inception in 1993. He brings to the table over 25 years of experience in the IT industry which includes over 22 years in U.S. industry. Prakash is an MBA from IIM Calcutta, India. Before joining SPAN, Prakash played various roles at Harris Bank, Chicago, Tata Burroughs and BHEL. Prakash has lectured in seminars in India and abroad on various topics related to Global sourcing of IT and has been profiled on CNBC and Zee Business.
