SPAN has good knowledge on implementation of DATEX and Service Interface for Real Time Information (SIRI) protocols in Traffic Management Domain. DATEX was designed and developed as a traffic and travel data exchange mechanism by a European task force set up to standardize the interface between traffic control and information centers. It has been the reference for applications that have been developed and implemented in Europe. The SIRI specifies a European interface standard for exchanging information about the planned, current or projected performance of real-time public transport operations between different computer systems. All SIRI services are provided over a standardized Communications layer, based on a Web Services Architecture.
